My 1998 Ranger began recently to make what I can only describe as a 'cricket sound' I popped the hood and tried to locate it, but the sound seems to be too high frequency to assign it to a specific component My power steering pump is noisy and needs replacing Is there anything that might have a worn bearing that makes that characteristic sound?
