    Salo is long and hard to watch because of the slow pacing A Serbian Film is very fast paced and tries to provoke visually rather than mentally I definitely think Salo was a better film (Thanks to Pasolini!), but A Serbian Film is worth a watch if you are into this kind of thing, though it is indeed over the top
